H&R Buffalo Classic® and CR Carbine rifles are classics to the core, modeled after the Frank Wesson tip-up rifles that were first made in Worcester, Massachusetts in the 1850s. Chambered for the 45-70 Gov't. and 45 Colt cartridges, they reflect true 19th century styling with antique color case hardening on the frame and a crescent butt plate. Their handsome American walnut stocks and fore-ends are accentuated by cut checkering.
Chambered for the 45 Colt, this compact rifle is an ideal extended-range companion to a cowboy-style sidearm. It’s equipped with all the aforementioned aesthetically pleasing attributes, plus a 20" barrel for quick handling with carbine-style open sights.
