Product Description Product Specs
The SIG SAUER® SP2022 with Laser is the latest version of our popular polymer framed pistol and features a durable, lightweight and wear-resistant polymer frame with the added tactical versatility of an integrated accessory rail. The slide is machined from a solid block of stainless steel and protected by SIG’s black Nitron® finish. The SP2022 can easily be converted from a Double-Action/Single-Action to a Double-Action Only configuration through a unique integral fire control unit. It also features the SIG SAUER four-point safety system. The SIG SAUER polymer framed pistols has earned an enviable reputation and proven track record of reliable performance in the hands of law enforcement professionals. In December of 2004 the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command at the Rock Island Arsenal awarded SIG SAUER a contract for 5,000 SIG SAUER SP2022 pistols chambered in 9mm.

Great deal on a good performing combination
I bought this pistol for my wife, who isnt a regular shooter. The pistol is a quality piece and accurate and the included laser is icing on the cake. It was dead easy to mount and sight in the laser and with the laser installed, the shooter doesnt have to know how to properly frame up the sight picture in the iron sights like my wife. All she has to do is put the dot on the spot she wants to hit and squeeze the trigger without jerking it. I bought this for her since the kids are grown up and away from the house and I also work in remote locations away from the house for extended periods of time and now she can defend herself if someone tries to break in while Im gone.

Decent For the price
First off, I have to say Kentucky Gun Co is a great place to shop. I had great service from them at a great price. As for the gun, I will be as honest as possible. First the good: The price can not be beat! I paid $359 with the laser shipped to my FFL in a timely manner. Upon recieving the gun, I noticed a few things. Only one Magazine, and extras are at least $40. I knew this going in, so just want to point it out. Second, I noticed some tooling marks and finish scratched off the barrel. The take down pin must be pushed from the right and pulled from the left , but the end you push is machined concave instead of smooth and can be painful on your fingerseriously I am not a wus. The other downside is a plastic recoil spring guide I purchased a stainless one for $25. The hammer also feels a little sloppy in the decocked position. Lastly the decocking lever is in an akward position and all surfaces on the gun are pretty sharp. Again, this is only a $350 gun, so none of these issues are a big deal, but I wanted everyone to know what to expect. At the range i was pleasantly surprised. This gun shoots very accurately with just the contrast sights and $10 ammo. I have 2 of these guns, and both are exactly the same. They shoot a little low and to the left, but that could be the ammo and the shooter...but my other guns do no not. This could be fixed with a sight asjustment and possibly a #6 front sight from Sig. With just 300 rounds of cheap ammo I was getting 2 groups at 25 feet. more than acceptable. I experienced 4-5 FTE that I attribute to cheap ammo and a new gun. On a few occasions the slide did NOT remain back on the last round. Overall, I feel this is a solid gun for the price, and would rely on it at home. I would be hesitant to carry it, but with break in and good ammo, I could easily change my mind. Another note, it comes with a large and small grip, and the gun feels great in a medium sized hand, or small hand. If you have larger hands I suggest a full size Sig.
