Item # 276976 Style BRT-J686F1228 UPC 082442989693 Condition New Manufacturer [Beretta](https://www.kygunco.com/brand/beretta) Model 686 Silver Pigeon I Round Capacity 2 Caliber 12 Gauge Action Over / Under Barrel Length 28 in Setting the standard in the over-and-under crossover shotgun category for 35 years, the Silver Pigeon I comes with its legendary long-lasting reliability and ballistics, enhanced by technical and aesthetic refinements. Approved by a million boundless adventurers, Silver Pigeon is the Beretta hunting icon. Based on the superb 680 platform, with its unmistakable low, slim action and legendary, ultra-reliable mechanism; the receiver features the tried-and-tested locking system with iconic trapezoid shoulders and dual conical locking lugs. The long-established 680 balance has been further improved, while keeping the weight always on hinge pins. The closing of the 686 Silver Pigeon I is smoother and requires less effort thanks to the redesigned top lever, with a re-positioned release pin. The engravings are created using modern Beretta technology, namely a 5-axis laser, capable of engraving rounded surfaces while maintaining perfect continuity in the design. The floral theme, created by Beretta’s Master Engravers, is now covering seamlessly the metal surfaces and extends for the first time to the receiver tail and embellishes the hinge pins. The background with micro-lines improves the depth of the scene. The pistol-grip stock and Schnabel forend are manufactured from grade-2 oil-finished walnut wood and are finely chequered for improved grip, even in the rain. The stock is available with a now higher 35/55 drop to enhance handling and shooting experience, in both a right- and left-handed version. The 2024 Silver Pigeon I version features polished stainless-steel trigger, for enhanced durability. The selector is located on top of the safety tang, allowing the user to select the barrel for the first shot with a simple, rapid sideways movement.
