But after receiving and unboxing the Impala, I began to realize this shotgun really is the best bargain in a semi-auto shotgun on the market. Being recoil operated, it’s not for the recoil sensitive but it runs so clean and consistently that it more than makes up for a little more nudge on the shoulder. Five choke tubes to choose from make dialing in the pattern easier and the ability to use aftermarket inventor chokes helps too. My only sticking point with the gun is the trigger. It feels like a long gravel road, and I’ve made arrangements to send the trigger group to a gun shop for a solution. Overall a trigger job is a small price to have an otherwise great shotgun.
