I most likely didn't do a sufficient job cleaning off the sticky factory grease (too anxious to get to the range and play with the new toy). Having corrected the lubrication issue, I will retest. 1911's with tight tolerances can do this so I'm not that concerned; at least, not yet until I get a few hundred rounds through it. That said, the gun is great and Kentucky Gun Company was quick to ship.
