BEFORE the handguard will easily install. I had to check YOUTUBE and found only one video that mentioned the issue. I'd thought I got a bad shotgun and was debating complaining to Stoeger. That one video answered the issue saved the day, there is at least one other video showing how to "smooth out and tune up" the Coach Gun.
