Viridian's new series of reflex sights offer a number of advantages over traditional iron sights. The Viridian RFX44 is very similar to their RFX45, but this model takes a bunch of great features and packs them into a more compact overall package. The RFX44 is a green dot sight that uses the popular Aimpoint ACRO footprint and is also available with many different adapters, making it compatible with a variety of optics ready pistols or even carbines and rifles. With a 5 MOA green dot reticle, you can quickly and easily acquire your target. Included are 10 brightness settings: eight for use in daylight, and two night vision modes that allow you to use the optic in conjunction with night vision setups. The RFX44 is machined from 6061 aluminum which is durable, but also very lightweight. Perhaps the most exciting feature of the RFX44 is its enclosed emitter. This feature adds an additional lens and keeps the dot's emitter protected from the elements so you don't have to worry about the emitter getting wet or dirty and washing out your reticle. The battery and electric components are all housed at the top of the optic which lowers the viewing window and makes for a sleeker profile. An auto shut-off function helps conserve battery life, and Viridian's INSTANT-ON technology means you don't need to worry about pressing any buttons to use the optic.
