AREX DEFENSE Delta 2 9mm 4" 17rd - FDE & Black

If you've fired a PSA micro dagger, then the grip on the AREX is similar. The trigger has no sponginess. There is take up, you hit a wall, and that's it. Really simulates a double action but obviously there is no mechanical feel. It shoots great and is a quality built firearms. This one didn't come with an optics cut. I installed Sig night sights on it as I really trust this and would want to use this as a home defense pistol if needed.

Great pistol at any price. Clearly, the engineers who designed it put some thought into making it light, thin and very secure in the hand. Mid size capacity and performance at sub compact size. Trigger was a little gritty at first but better after 100 rounds. Nice little features like loaded chamber indicator and striker indicator at the rear of the slide that can be pressed during holstering for increased safety. This particular model is not cut for a red dot but I'm an iron sights so it wasn't an issue. Plenty of great reviews from reliable sources. At this price point, it's a steal.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Pros: Thin which is nice for conceald carry, light weight, nice design, came in a hard carying case with cleaning tools and back straps.

Cons: Feels like cheap plastic, springs are heavy and require breaking in. Mag release is hard to work, slide lock is hard to release, slide release feels sharp on the thumb. User must use two hands to release the slide (this may change after a breakin period). Mag release button felt sticky as if it was not properly finished, possibly the spring is too heavy making it very hard to work.

I would not recommend this as a first gun for anyone. While there are a lot of nice features on this gun, I would suggest other gun options before this one. If you are experienced using handguns and you are willing to deal with the problems inherent with this design then it comes in at a good price point. For the same money, there are slightly larger guns which are much easier to use and feel solid in your hand.

Magazine Release is a little difficult to press, otherwise oustanding product for the money, features, and quality.
