Taking a legendary ancient Greek short sword as its namesake, Battle Arms Development designed their XIPHOS 9 to be the next generation of blowback operated AR15 style pistol caliber firearms. With the foundation of a billet aluminum receiver, this pistol caliber rifle is lightweight, maneuverable, and filled with highly coveted attributes. The XIPHOS features a 4150 chrome-moly steel barrel and an 8620 steel blowback bolt to create a gun with top-notch reliability that's also easy to clean. Around the barrel is a free float handguard with M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. Additionally, a top Picatinny rail runs from the rear of the upper receiver all the way to the front of the handguard, so mounting accessories and optics is easy as can be. The XIPHOS also contains Battle Arms' specialized 9mm buffer system that reduces weight, recoil, and wear. In addition to that, the XIPHOS features a RACK ambidextrous charging handle, extended magazine release, enhanced takedown and pivot pins, a one piece magazine catch, an extended bolt catch, and an adjustable 3 position pistol grip.
