New for 2024, Beretta's 30X Tomcat Get Home Bag could be considered the world's first tactical pocket pistol. It delivers the same level of concealability as its previous models of the Tomcat but now features a host of modernized features. It still retains its compact size – roughly the same as a cellphone and weights a mere 16 ounces. It also maintains the unique tip-up barrel system dubbed the "Effortless Loading System". This barrel configuration allows the user to instantly check if a round is in the chamber and makes cleaning easier since the barrel doesn’t need to be removed. The tip-up barrel also makes loading the pistol easier as the user can load a round directly into the chamber without having to rack the slide, perfect for shooters with limited hand strength. The barrel is topped with 1/2x28" threads for use with a suppressor.
The magazine release on the 30X Tomcat Get Home Bag has been moved from the bottom of the grip to a more ergonomic location just behind the trigger guard. The new location of the magazine release is similar to that of a full-sized pistol like an M9, making reloads more intuitive. The trigger and hammer have been skeletonized, reducing the trigger pull weight by 35%, and the fixed low profile sights has been replaced with a suppressor height sights . Additionally, the magazine on the 30X Tomcat Get Home Bag has been extended bringing the total capacity to 8 rounds, and a set of Helica textured walnut grips have been expertly contoured for better ergonomics.
