Lightweight Alloy Revolvers: Not recommended for ultra-light alloy revolvers due to potential bullet crimp jump under recoil. The ammo itself will not damage these revolvers, but their minimal weight increases recoil severity.

Velocity Reference: Provided velocities help illustrate how different guns and barrel lengths affect performance with this .357 Magnum ammo. Note that newer S&W revolvers often produce higher velocities than older models due to tighter manufacturing tolerances.

Special Note: The Marlin 1894 with an 18.5-inch barrel achieves velocities that exceed typical .30-30 energy levels.
