After many customer requests, Buffalo Bore is proud to introduce two powerful +P .45 Auto Rim loads. Both loads are built with premium Starline brass and feature flash-suppressed powder to preserve shooter vision in low-light conditions—a critical consideration, as over 95% of civilian shootings in the U.S. occur in the dark when threats are most active.
These loads match the ballistic performance of +P+ .45 ACP (also known as .45 Super) but operate safely within the limits of modern and post-war .45 ACP revolvers in good working condition.
Real-world velocity tests were conducted using personal revolvers—not laboratory barrels. Notably, the newer S&W 4-inch Mountain Gun delivered speeds nearly equal to older models with longer barrels, demonstrating the tighter tolerances of modern S&W revolvers.
