BULLPUP UNLIMITED Remington 870 12Ga Bullpup Conv Kit

Am very impressed with this kit. Was very surprised how well everything went together. Only had a few minor things to sand/trim leftover from the molding process. Once together it is solid. Have shot close to 100 rounds without a single issue. It operates reliably like it did before the conversion. Yes loading is different and left handed shooting may not be the most convenient, but these are largely just training issues. The kit is just stout and sturdy feeling. No issue with slide release button that others complained about in the earlier versions. Safety was a bit hard to put back on safe at first. Took some cycles to smooth out and helped to remove the safety assembly altogether to clear out the shavings. Felt it was a little expensive for what it was at first, but can definitely say it is worth it. Just cant say enough about how well designed it is. Wife likes the shorter overall length way better. Shes a lot more confident using it now as a home defense gun than when it was full size. Action doesnt seem all that different, doesnt hang or feel gritty. Trigger isnt as crisp, but isnt bad at all. Very well thought out in that it can use any AR15 safeties and grips. Allen keys are kept within the removable butt pad portion for storage. Uses a quality Remington gel pad. Also when you remove the butt pad, prongs activate the safety as you slide it off, adding another measure of safety when storing. Clever design takes the safety off when you put the butt pad portion back on. Bought it to satisfy my need for a SBS and was more practical since I already had an 870 Express Magnum. I like that you keep your six round tube capacity compared to the four if you just got a 14 870. It works very well, seems very durable, has the 870 reliabilty, and just looks badass. You will need to add sights to this like you would a KSG. Unfortunately the pic rail and AR style eye to flat top plane distance wont work with typical shotgun sights. Havent found anybody that makes a ghost ring set for a pic rail so youre forced to use AR sights or red dot/holographics. Make sure to use Loc-tite. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and have no regrets. Its a very novel and function forward design that also turns a lot of heads.
