This ammunition typically achieves 9"-15" of penetration and utilizes a jacketed hollow point bullet (projectile) and is manufactured with a gilding metal jacket and a soft lead core. The jacket of the bullet is strategically scored inside and out to ensure uniform and rapid expansion. The rapid bullet expansion reduces over-penetration, thus reducing the risk of collateral damage. On impact, the jacket and lead of the bullet peel back to the base of the bullet, resulting in bullet expansion double its original diameter.
