The MK18 AR15-style Pistol draws its design inspiration from the original MK18, a platform widely favored by Law Enforcement and Special Operations units. Classified as a pistol rather than a Short Barreled Rifle (SBR), it does not fall under NFA regulations, eliminating the need for ATF approval and a tax stamp.
This model features the same Picatinny quad rail system currently issued by Daniel Defense to USSOCOM, along with a 10.3-inch Cold Hammer Forged Barrel—ideal for Close Quarters Battle (CQB) scenarios. The MK18 RISII rail system incorporates Daniel Defense’s patented 6-bolt Bolt-Up System, which has undergone extensive testing by USSOCOM prior to deployment.
The pistol is equipped with the SB Tactical SBA3 Pistol Stabilizing Brace, offering five adjustable positions and an integrated ambidextrous QD swivel mount. It also includes the GRIP-N-RIP Charging Handle, designed for both left- and right-handed users, and the ergonomic Daniel Defense Pistol Grip, which features an integrated trigger guard and soft-touch overmolding for enhanced comfort and control.
