This commander model 1911 pistol is chambered in the hard-hitting 10mm Auto cartridge and is the realization of John Browning's legendary design. This simple, effective and legendary single action system comes standard with a steel machined slide and frame. Along with the obvious durability of steel you also have the excellent recoil management associated with a slightly heavier frame when compared to the alloy frame models.
The Liberador is a special edition model of the Girsan MC1911 that pays homage to Hispanic culture. The entire gun features a striking polished stainless finish and selected small parts are given a gold finish. This combination presents a brilliant contrasting look that is guaranteed to turn heads at the range. Available in .45 ACP, 9mm Luger and 10mm Auto, the 9mm and .45 models are "Government" size with 5" barrels, while the 10mm model is "Commander" size with a 4.25" barrel. A set of synthetic grips include an engraved Sugar Skull design that commemorates the Day of the Dead. Other upgraded features such as ambidextrous safeties, front and rear cocking serrations and an accessory rail make the Girsan MC1911 Liberador a unique addition to any pistol shooter's collection.
