The IJTurkey 12ga 3" 24" Single Shot was bought b/c of its weight. It's very light & easy to carry around the woods chasing turkeys especially in hilly country in central Louisiana. Shoots Point of Aim to Point of Impact very well using Winchester 12ga, 1 1/2oz #4 & #5 shot. I'd be a lil scared to put the heavier stout turkey loads in this gun. I know it says it's a Turkey Gun, but you may wanna stick to a lower "ounce shot/powder charge" on this one. Just my thoughts b/c of the weight & quality of the gun. Would recommend with lighter turkey loads.
P.S.: also can be used on small game: squirrel, rabbit, dove, etc ... & With the appropriate choke can he use on big game: deer/hog.
