Received the tactical pistol stock quickly and in perfect (new) condition. It matched expectations (2 inches shorter than OEM non-pistol grip stock). The M4 OEM stock simply screws (rotates) on and off. You apply a screw to the Mesa stock through the butt and then apply the butt rubber pad. The Mesa stock plastic was overly tight where the trigger assembly fit in - we had to work that a bit. The shorter pistol grip stock feels and balances quite different from the longer OEM stock - worse for hunting but better for home defense/in a house.
