The SAR 2000 may be a CZ/Tanfoglio clone, but it's a fantastic pistol. The gun is made in Turkey, but the finish is excellent and the action is significantly smoother than I expected. The fitting on this all-metal gun is excellent. I do not own any Tanfoglio products, but I do have CZ pistols. The overall quality and accuracy of the SAR 2000 is on-par with (or slightly better than) a CZ75. The 2000 may be a clone, but it's a very good one that is a solid option for anyone looking for an all-metal pistol.
This is an awesome handgun. The great price and service from Kygunco were icing on the cake. The gun is a tank, shoots great and has no shooting issues yet. In my opinion and those of a number of online reviewers, the metal-frame SAR USA 2000 is worth a lot more that Kygunco's price. Since I had just bought another gun before I saw this one at a fantastic price at Kygunco, I really wasn't ready to spend money on another gun at that time, so I spoke to Kygunco and got the information for purchasing on layaway. The process was fantastic and I mailed in my last payment on a Friday, the gun was shipped the following Tuesday and was received at my FFL just two days later. This is the second gun I bought from Kygunco, and will certainly look first to Kygunco for my next purchase. They definitely a five-star company.
This gun is Awesome...for the price or can hardly be best( all steel, though the polymer ones are a treat as well) it is a licensed copy of the EAA witness by tanfoglio ( a 1000 dollar gun). It fits hogue grips for a cz75, and takes cz 75 mags as well
If I had one recommendation to make, it would be to test the sights the first time you shoot it, and be ready to push that rear sight a hair left possibly, as the way the sights are layed in from the factory tend to make them be just a hair right of center
Overall this gun is a fantastic buy...you won't regret the high quality...this company has made guns for over a century...they know what they are doing
I can not be happier with this gun. Extremely accurate. Very first day i was very accurate as well as my brother and friend. Feels extremely natural in my hand. The rubber grips makes it very pleasant to shoot. The weight makes it ver pleasant to shoot with very low recoil. The double action is very heavy but useful. Very easy to disassemble and clean. Magazines are metal made. Trigger springs kit and longer threaded barrel available.
Very nice piece, paying homage to the classic CZ-75. I have collected SAR9, SAR B6 and SAR B6C because of the positive experience with my first SAR ST9. So I own 5 SAR pistols. They are all pretty reliable and accurate. SAR 2000 is my favorite.
Purchased on Black Friday Deal (too expensive at full price). A good option for those who are tired of the meltable plastic wonder guns. A copy of the CZ75 with a couple of changes (no barrel bushing and a v short hammer spring). Has a nice matte black finish that is grippy. Front and rear grip grooves an improvement over smooth CZ75. Positive on-off safety lever (better than CZ version). White dot sights very visible. Good ergonomics, pointability and balance. Feels like it is forcing its way into your hand - an extension of your arm. Should accept Mec-Gar CZ75 mags. Decent machining. Looks promising, time (and a few thousand rounds) will be the judge. Made in Turkey, so you get to support a NATO ally.
