This 686 is simply the best revolver for your money. Recoil is mild, therefore easy to keep on target. Weight contributes to this too. Trigger pull on the heavy side. I put a spring kit in from Jerry Mickluchek sp and its now near perfection. If youre looking for a revolver that wont break your hand or your bank account, this is the one.
Ive owned several .357s over the years and this one is simply superior. Amazingly powerful, heavy enough to handle recoil easily, yet not overly so. Quality of workmanship is immediately obvious. I did order a trigger spring kit, as I thought it was a tad too heavy in single action. Just an amazing gun and the price is right for this much quality. If you are thinking about getting a hand gun, consider the 686+. You wont be disappointed.
