After researching the best entry level 3Gun shotgun, the Stoeger M3K was at the top of the list. Based on its popularity it was a bit hard to find, but KYGUNCO had them in stock and shipped it to my FFL in only a few days. Great service!
The stoeger M3K is a great entry-level shotgun for three-gun that runs well and is reliable without a ton of maintenance like the gas operated guns. Plenty of accessories made for this gun as well which will allow you to customize it to fit your needs.
This is my first purchase with Kentucky gun company and I doubt it will be my last! Prices are excellent and the gun shipped quickly and came completely untouched all nice and new in the box. I did not interact with anyone at the store because everything went smoothly online.
Good shotgun, however, I had hoped the reciever cuts would obviate the need to have the reciever milled to make quadloads easier.
It doesn't, it is in fact easier to quadload my 930. The stoeger has a nasty habit of having the shells hang up at the rim during loading. The 930 does not have this problem.
Otherwise a fine competition shotgun
Bought this for home defense on our country home. The longer barrel is excellent for this application. Easy to shoot, accurate.
Excellent purchase. Everything as advertised. Love the over-sized charging handle and bolt release. With a little help from MOA Precision she's now ready for 3-Gun and Tac-Shotgun. Wishing the M3K Freedom was in stock, but this option allowed me to customize it as I wanted.
Im was looking to get a shotgun to jump in to 3 gun and the Stoeger seems to be one of the leaders of the entry level budget.
Took it straight from the box to a round of sporting clays and it was 100 perfect for that first 100rd outing. Impressive.
I did later have a few feed problems in the 200-400 round window and found a sharp edge left on the extractor cut on the barrel was the culprit. A few passes of the file and the Stoeger is back to perfection.
Add an extended mag tube and this thing really is as close to 3 gun ready as a shotgun can be from the box.
