Great piece of equipment

I love the gun and the grip has a very good feel. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because it was listed on the web site as weighing 28 ounces and it is closer to 35 oz.

I will readily admit that I have not been a fan of Taurus firearms. The 627 may change my mind at least with their revolvers. I was in the market for a handgun for woods carry during dear season and when I wade in black bear country. As I began pricing Rugers, S&Ws, and Colts I just could not bring myself to drop that much on a revolver. After reading tons of reviews on modern Taurus revolvers I decided to give the 627 a chance. So far, I have been pleasantly surprised especially considering the sub-$500 price (at time of my purchase). The craftsmanship appears very solid, the lockwork is predictable and it is plenty accurate. The out of box trigger was better than expected as well. Overall, I am pleased. I would give 5 stars, but I have only put 100 rounds through it so far, an no heavy loads yet.

I purchased the Taurus 627 tracker based on the good reviews, both written and video. Glad I did because this revolver is fun to shoot. Like others have stated, magnum loads are not punishing to the shooter. The trigger has a smooth double action and it has gotten even better after several range trips. Kygunco service and price was great.
