So far as KYGUNCO, I've only good things to say. Ordering was simple, shipping was prompt. Color me happy camper gold, KYGUNCO is up to its usual standards. But wait-- I was asked about my purchase. Well, since you asked, let's discuss this POS Taurus I bought. One thing I just learned is that internet vloggers cannot be trusted to tell the truth. Or did I just buy the very first lemon Taurus sold? First glance, the 856 looks good, feels fair in hand. Nothing went well after that. Cylinder would not turn. Cylinder release took two hands to operate and then the cylinder required forcing to move. Still would not spin and took two hours to loosen enough to spin. Trigger. Once I got the cylinder to move, I tried the trigger. There was almost enough leverage to move the hammer to half cock. Single action was impossible, as the hammer would not go beyond half cock. Finally managed to get it gun to cock and pulled the trigger. I've never seen such a garbage gun.

Fine well balanced 38. Good sight pattern. Very well priced for the quality of firearm!

I purchased the all-stainless version of the Defender back in the summer and I was more than pleased. The black steel version kept calling my name and it did not disappoint. I replaced the factory Hogue rubber grip with a similarly styled Hogue wooden grip. It looks really sharp and is just a pleasure to shoot. Of course, Kentucky Gun Company was top-notch.
