TAURUS 856 Defender 38 Special +P 3" 6rd Revolver - Stainless

Got the stainless version.
Liking the 3" barrel and tritium front sight.
Very accurate and reliable revolver.

Very nice revolver! Nice balance in hand and I love the quality low-glare matte stainless finish. Really like the feel and comfort of the hogue grip that is shown on this 3” model, but it also comes with the smaller Taurus grip (you can see it on the 2” snubbie version) if you prefer that (There is also a plain black front sight included as well)! Nice lock-up with smooth SA trigger. DA is slightly heavy, but also clean break. Very pleased with this six-shooter! Taurus nailed it with this one! Super quick shipping after I placed my order. No complaints about this pistol. Price is good, and pistol seems well made. Mechanics are good and finish is good. Trigger is a bit "meh". Still working out the accuracy, but have only been shooting at bottles and stumps so far. Kentucky Gun Co had the lowest price, plus shipped it quick and free. Overall, I like the pistol and have no regrets about it.

Easy ordering and fast shipping! Arrived sooner than expected to my local FFL dealer. Very happy with this Taurus! The 3" barrel was perfect for me and the gun fit nicely in my hand. Lighter than anticipated, I would consider this ideal to carry on my backpacking trips or even just a nice piece for tossing in with the camping gear. A very fun revolver to shoot! I anticipate these to only go up in price!

Excellent revolver, great value excellent fit and finish for the price. The front night sight is hi-vis both day and night. The 3" barrel give a great sight picture. Hough grips are very ergo. Planned to carry it in my fishing boat, but it will also reside in my night stand drawer!

It's a really nice shooting , slim well built revolver. I was so glad to snag the 3". Hand down better than the 2" or 2.5" to shoot. Keeping the rubber grips. Perfect fit for this firearm. Great price and fast shipping. Again !!

I've been looking for a Taurus Defender 856, since it was announced at SHOT Show, back in January 2020. I like the additional barrel length over the standard 856 and the tritium front sight is a great plus. I like the weight of this all-stainless steel model, which comes in at about 24 oz. I found the trigger pull in both double and single action to be surprisingly good. The Hogue rubber grip that feels great in the hand, rounds out the whole package. Just what I was looking for.
