TAURUS 942 22LR 2" 8rd Revolver | Stainless

This was my first transaction with KyGunCo, and will be my first stop from now on when searching for a new firearm at the best market price. Availability was also impressive. I had been having trouble finding a 942 at much below MSRP that wasn't used. KyGunCo quickly delivered a newly manufactured product at the price I wanted to pay, and made the FFL transfer as painless as possible.

When I say freshly manufactured stock, I wasn't kidding!

Taurus has changed their lock work design. I have done a number of hammer/trigger spring replacements on Taurus revolvers over the years. This is the first Taurus revolver I've encountered with a S&W style trigger return spring housed inside a box-like device with the grip end of the spring captured against a post protruding from the left side of the frame. Also, the bolt stop spring is no longer inside the cylinder crane post, but rather has been moved inside the frame in a location similar to a S&W. I like it so far.

After being impressed with a previous Taurus revolver purchase I wanted a 22lr revolver. After doing research I decided on the Taurus 942 22lr. Great revolver, great grip, great price and no issues with performance. Totally enjoy this revolver and Taurus prices can’t be beat. Kygunco had the best price and the only dealer I could find with the 942 in stock. Overall great buying experience and fantastic revolver.

There is no recoil perceived when firing this revolver. Very well made and quite heavy. Great firearm for new shooters. Not getting into viability of 22LR for self defense. Taurus has upped their game and the quality of their product is equal to the competition. Also have the 22 Magnum and flawless performance.
