I bought this revolver because I thought it would compliment my two 22 Mag semi-autos. For the price point, I was pretty happy with the appearance, fit and finish of the gun. The problem is it doesn’t fire very well! On the first range trip, I took 100 rds of Hornady V- Max 32 g cartridges. With the first 8 rounds in the cylinder, in double action, only one cartridge fired. If I just continued to pull the trigger, the rest fired with about 20 additional trigger pulls. The next cylinder full I fired in single action and 4 of the 8 fired. I assumed there might be a break-in period so I soldiered on. Never got any better. Second range trip took CCI Maxi-Mag 40 g and Fiocchi 40 g cartridges. Fired both of these through the 942 with only slightly better performance, probably 50% FTF on the first trigger pull. My impression is that either the hammer is dragging or the spring is defective. It’s going back to Taurus, if I can get through to Customer Service. Not easy!
