With this rope we Tethrd was able to develop the world’s first commercially available 8mm rope with a factory spliced eye. This is a big deal because splices are much stronger than knots by anywhere from 30%-50%. These splices are tested at over 90% rope strength. This is simply not possible with knotted loops.
