They are available with Blued Frame and Walnut Stock, or Stainless and Black Synthetic Stock. Featuring single shot, break open design (by use of trigger guard), interchangeable by use of a removable barrel/frame hinge pin, button rifled, and drilled & tapped for T/C scope mounts. The trigger pull is preset at 2.75 to 4.00 lbs, and has wide grooves in hammer spur for positive grip. They are equipped with external manual firing pin selector - allowing the shooter to use rimfire and centerfire barrels on the same frame. The Walnut or synthetic pistol grip with finger grooves are ambidextrous. Blued and Stainless Steel Models are available and have Interchangeable Barrels. There is more clearance between the grip and the trigger guard and incorporates a patented automatic hammer block safety with built-in interlock. The G2 Contender frame will accept all Contender barrels and their corresponding forends (except Herrett forend). The G2 frame will not accept old-style grips because of the change in grip angle. Blued or stainless barrels are readily interchangeable.
