Wow, just like the reviews I've read, this rifle has no major flaws and the new trigger is impressive. Heck of a value for a rifle in this price range. Would buy again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quality bolt action rifle.
From the special trigger to the threaded barrel, for the price this is a great gun.
Let me just say, there is nothing better than turning a rifle that is less than 300 bucks in to a tack driver especially with handloads. Don’t beat yourself up, just buy it.. I also have the TC compass in 243, also a tack driver..
Trigger on the Compass II is improved. Little heavy, but crisp with no creep and overtravel. Stock is stiffer than I expected but I might buy an aftermarket stock to make the gun prettier. Not fully broken in yet, but I've shot under 1 moa with cheap 5.56. I'm working up a handload and have high expectations.Only complaint is a clunky bolt, but it locks up tight. It is fun having a low priced rifle shoot well as opposed to having a high end rifle shoot OK.
