I bought this in 2012 and its been a great plinking gun. If you want the look and feel of the full size 1911 in a dedicated .22 this is pretty nice. Its not fancy by any means but for the price it is what it is. Ive shot at least 1000 rounds through mine and only in the very beginning did I have 2 failures to eject. But since its been good to me. I shoot the bulk .22lr in it and it works fine. Doesnt need the high end stuff.
The trigger on it isnt the greatest but you can master it after a full magazine. The sights can be a little hard to see in low light so I put a dab of orange paint on the front sight. That made a world of difference for me as its much easier to pick up now.
The gun is quite accurate, hits point of aim for me. Ive not shot it out past probably 50 feet though. But for backyard plinking cans or paper targets its a lot of fun and doesnt cost too much to operate. The price on this seems to me coming down as well since I bought mine 3 years ago at $340 on sale.
If youre looking at this or another version of it, its a nice shooter. Mine came with one 12 round mag but I did purchase another to go with it. May get a third. Overall Im very satisfied with this copy of a Colt Government Model chambered in .22lr. Looks like the real thing!
