Maxi-Cure™ extra-thick CA is an ideal adhesive for most plastics, including GE’s Lexan, making it a top choice for plastic model assembly. When paired with INSTA-SET™, it outperforms putty for modifying or filling gaps. Once cured, it can be carved with a knife or razor blade, then sanded and feathered to create a finish that blends seamlessly with plastic. Maxi-Cure™ also delivers superior bonding strength on fiberglass, hardwood, metal, and rubber compared to other hobby adhesives. For bonding to the inner, cloth-textured surface of fiberglass, be sure to scrape the area with a razor blade or coarse sandpaper before applying Maxi-Cure™ or any adhesive. It is also the preferred solution for securing R/C car tires.
In addition, Maxi-Cure™ has become highly popular in archery for attaching vanes to aluminum and carbon arrow shafts. Not only is it one of the strongest adhesives available for this purpose, but it is also typically the most cost-effective option.
